  • Worked for Department of Defense in Afghanistan 2011-2018 as an Engineering and Construction Contractor

  • Degrees in Aerospace Technology and Aerospace Engineering

  • First National Recipient of SpaceTec’s Aerospace Technician Certification

Ricky C. Hetherington ‘68 - Computer Technology

  • Engineering consultant with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC)

  • Architect and designer of the 32-bit IC chip for the processor line which produced the most popular 32-bit mini-computer in the 1970s

  • Made countless contributions to the advancement of Microelectronics in 32-bit and 64-bit computer processor technology

  • Worked as an Integrated Circuit Designer in his early career in Silicon Valley

  • Authored at least 70 United States patents while working for DEC, Sun Microsystems, and Oracle

  • Key Patents / Inventions / Achievements:  Co-invented the apparatus and method for fine-grained multithreading in a multi-pipelined processor core; Cache and Memory Systems; Error Detection and Correction; Coherence and Interconnection; System and Method for thermal overload detection and protection

 

Jeffrey R. Kleckner ‘73 - Art 

  • Studio Potter whose works were noted world-wide (Deceased August 2020)

  • Ceramics exhibited throughout US in venues including Clay Studio and Schaller Gallery

  • Exhibited and sold works at highest quality art festivals and craft shows in the country

  • Degrees - BFA from Cleveland Institute of Art / MFA from Southern Illinois University



 Rosemary Yanger ‘61 - Outstanding Community Service

  • Played an integral role in the founding, growth, and success of Animals in Distress, the Lehigh Valley’s first no-kill animal shelter which is celebrating its 49th year in 2026

  • Serves in Event Coordination, Fundraising, Shelter Management, Volunteer Recruiting, and Animal Rescue and Care - for more than four decades

  • Expert in the care of neonatal kittens - has saved the lives of and fostered hundreds of abandoned newborn kittens

  • Serves on the Board of Directors, Coordinates the Take-a-Pet to Dinner Sponsorships and the Memorial Donations

  • Manages all public relations and serves as the liaison with NewsRadio 790 WAEB for the Annual Fundraising Telethon

  • Has overseen the transition of shelter pets to become therapy animals for residents in nursing homes

  • Big Sisters of America / Sunday School Teacher
